nanoScan® SPECT/CT/PET

nanoScan® SPECT/CT/PET

Versatile SPECT with Real dynamic PET with absolute quantification

The nanoScan® triple modality system combines all benefits of the nanoScan® PET/CT and SPECT/CT in a single, fully integrated device.
The SPECT part images radiotracers with absolute quantification, high sensitivity and high spatial resolution down to 0.3 mm in vivo. Wide range of patented multiple pinhole collimators available with optimized performance for any applications: from whole-body to focused scanning; imaging of mice, multiple mice, large rats and rabbits; from low energy tracers to theranostic isotopes.
The PET part is equipped with the finest detector crystal needles ensuring high spatial resolution down to 700 μm in vivo. Quantitative results delivered over the widest range of radioactivity levels from 60 Bq to 60 MBq (1.6 nCi – 1.6 mCi). Large ring diameter allows imaging of multiple mice and large animals.
The triple modality system is also available as a combination of an integrated PET/CT and a standalone SPECT for higher throughput.

Features & Benefits

High sensitivity and high resolution SPECT simultaneously

  • Proprietary and patented multi-pinhole collimator technology offering excellent spatial resolution, high sensitivity and large field of view at the same time
  • Cutting-edge sensitivity even for high-energy isotopes ensured by 9.5 mm thick sodium iodide (NaI:Tl) crystals with large area and minimal detector gaps
  • Exclusive imaging performance with ultra-low activity

Wide range of collimators: for fast dynamic SPECT and for imaging of Theranostic isotopes

Full stationary imaging:

  • PET-like dynamic imaging capability with list mode data storage
  • 3D quantitative dynamic imaging with 1-3 second time frames
  • Time-Activity Curve generation from 3D quantitative results.

Imaging of high energy tracers:

  • Dedicated multi-pinhole collimators for Imaging of theranostic isotopes like 131I, 213Bi, 225Ac and more
  • List-mode data acquisition for simultaneous imaging of multiple isotopes, even for simultaneous scanning of PET and SPECT tracers.

Resolving precise details with PET: 700 μm spatial resolution

  • Finest lutetium oxyorthosilicate (LSO) crystal needles provide precise signal localization preserving spatial information in raw data
  • Tera-Tomo™ 3D PET iterative reconstruction with real-time Monte Carlo based physical modelling unveiling the tiniest details on the image
  • Large ring diameter and statistical depth of interaction compensation offers homogeneous image quality over the entire field of view

Coping with count rate: mastering studies from high dose to low dose

  • Multichannel read-out electronics with ultra-fast data processing and advanced dead-time correction
  • Exceptional count rate performance – peak noise equivalent count rate (NECR) for mouse is 850 kcps @ 60 MBq
  • Fully quantitative at 60 MBq (1.6 mCi) and beyond
  • Suitable for dynamic imaging of large animals or for dynamic scanning of up to four mice simultaneously
  • Optimal for imaging of isotopes with short half-life (11C, 13N, 15O etc.)
  • Thick LSO crystals and advanced corrections (random, scatter, LSO background etc.) ensuring quantification at low activity levels
  • Best minimal detectable activity on the market: 60 Bq (1.6 nCi)

Largest Field of View for large or multiple animal imaging
